On this day we become legendary

Remember the Gucci ads with the snakes? The Kenzoki ads of creams of the purest white? The Clinique girl, with all the stuff on her face?
All him.

As well as these transcending shots, from the spectrum in the Bulgari book. Unreal.

Powder-soft skin textures.

Icebergs that look like meringues.

I wonder if he shot this in a studio and how big the waves really were.

It blows my mind. His studio must have the sickest props department.

See me ride out of the sunset on your colour TV screen

Guido Mocafico has been in my top 3 favourite photographers since I found out about Numéro back in high school.

His site is chock-a-block with incredible photos, from Catherine Deneuve's comb (complete with blond hair) to the most viscid dessert shots.

And shells.

Girl's Got Rythm

Pamela Love has an incredible name and some sick jewelry, like this talon cuff.

Taper jean girl with a motel face

Big big shout out to Rhian, doing wonderful work at Departures. Don't know why you had to go all the way out to Cardiff to do it though.

Check out their tight grids.

Joyeux Anniversaire Alizé!
Manges plein de gateau, fais bien la fete et danses jusqu'au petit matin.

Real birthday card later.

I Got Nine Lives, Cat's Eyes

Completely in love with David Downton's drawings of Erin O'Connor.

What you don't got is my natural glow

Francois Berthoud rocks my world. His website looks like this:

He even made a little movie with Moleskine.

Initiales B.B.

Et voilà, la classe internationale c'est Fabien Baron qui l'a.

Vogue Paris, c'était bien quand M/M étaient DA, mais depuis Baron-Baron c'est devenu collector.

I fell down in the desert baby

Threadless is always good for the t-shirt hungry. There is often a strong dweeb vibe, one that I particularly enjoy is the design for the Ketchup & Mustard t-shirt by Alex Trochut:

This design was up for rating and I hope it gets printed because it's awesome.

I saw it on It's Nice That.

I'm back, back in the New York groove

Carin Goldberg has got it going on.

Along with Jason Munn and Aesthetic Apparatus, the work is just gorgeous.

I can't remember where I looked her up from, but seeing this, it was probably New York Magazine.

Down to the general store for nothing specific

Notebooks are what I'm all about. Seriously, I would spend a million years doing research for each project if I could.

From the ether I found a blog called Notebookism. I thought it would be full of pictures of people's notebooks, in the way that Inspiration Boards is self-explanatory, but no.

Notebookism is ok. They love Rhodia pads, bonus, and Moleskine, who doesn't, but imagine if they had pictures of people's handwriting - fascinating! Still, props for mentioning Clairefontaine.

Note, jot, plan.

The Dolphin Studio has a great calendar for 2008. The New York Times raves about it, "every gifter becomes a giftee". It describes it as infectious, which it totally is, by the look of things.

If you had the same reaction as I did, don't bother, they're sold out.
