Sterling's work is similar to Szabo's, albeit slighlty anterior, so he's got the whole 1950s Teddy boy, James Dean-channeling look covered.
Both photographers focus on adolescence, that ambivalent age that I find endlessly fascinating. This bunch of hotheads all look like they've got something to prove, a mix of brashness and vulnerability: your basic teenager.
Sterling and Szabo are both represented by M+B in Los Angeles.
